"When my students Skyped with Mrs. Holt, they had the chance to interact personally with the creator of a story that we lived and breathed in class every day for weeks.  They shared their love for certain characters and their favorite moments from the novel, and asked her the questions that only she could answer.  Mrs. Holt answered every question thoroughly and thoughtfully, and made each student feel like she valued that individual’s feedback and curiosity.  She offered insight into the research that goes into her novels, the methods she uses to develop her characters, the obstacles she faces when writing, and more.  My students loved the time they got to spend with Mrs. Holt.  I wish I could do this with every story that we read in class!" -- Leslie Kilbourn, Eight Grade Language Arts Teacher , Deer Park Junior High, Deer Park, Texas

"Being able to do a Skype with you is so amazing. The entire process as a teacher is so easy and you and your assistant are both a joy to work with. I was always contacted promptly and scheduling was made clear and in advance. The students absolutely loved the whole experience. Building up to the Skype we brainstormed questions and the kids really felt ownership with that. We first visit your website to look at your biography and make sure that we are not asking anything that we already know. From there the kids questions just go crazy!" -- Christie Strong, Third-Grade teacher, St. Gregory Catholic School, Tyler, Texas
